For just two months a year, the Keukenhof Gardens in Lisse, Netherlands opens to the public. These gardens are often regarded as some of the best in Europe, if not the world. While I haven’t visited every garden, Keukenhof is absolutely stunning. In this post, take a virtual Keukenhof photo tour.
As you make your way inside, you’ll pass more floral displays than you can count. You’re in the Netherlands, so of course there will be tulips, but you’ll also find so much more. And that’s just the outdoor displays. The pavilions throughout the grounds have their own displays. Learn about tulips, see displays orchids, and yes, find more tulip displays.
I visited Keukenhof during my spring trip to Europe. I cut it close, but Keukenhof opened the day before I arrived in the Netherlands. I had worried that I would be too early in the season, but those fears were misplaced. While it’s true that not everything was blooming, I still saw so many beautiful flowers and spent my morning taking hundreds of photos. I’ve now picked out some of the best for this Keukenhof photo tour.
So, without any more rambling, here’s a small selection of the 200 photos I took. Hopefully you’ll leave feeling inspired to plan your own trip to Keukenhof.
The entrance to the Keukenhof.
It was really early in the season, so some of the big flowers weren’t blooming yet. But there was still a lot in bloom.
Multi-colored tulips in the gardens.
As you walk through the gardens, you’ll find all sorts of flower beds.
Even the areas behind the buildings have flowers planted everywhere.
I became obsessed with these flowers. I found them in blue and pink all over Keukenhof and couldn’t resist taking photos.
Seriously? How cool is this flower?
The flowers are arranged into beautiful images.
The Willem-Alexander Pavilion was my favorite. They had displays over what I have to assume is every tulip variety to ever exist.
Those are some really red tulips.
Some pink tulips with some interesting petal shapes.

A close up on some white and pink flowers.
Just walking along a small canal with its perfect rows of flowers.
One pavilion was dedicated to a massive orchid display. Here’s what I saw when I walked in.
The pavilion with the orchids was covered in white and pink orchids.
Like so many others at Keukenhof, this flower was so pretty that I had to take a photo.
Yes there’s flowers, but there’s also places like this.
Seriously. The Willem-Alexander Pavilion was just that amazing. I ended up coming back to this pavilion just to go through it again.
I had so many good photos from Keukenhof, but this photo won and became my new phone background.
A lot of times you’ll find similar flowers next to each other, but other times, you’ll find explosions of color.
White and pink tulips.
I had never seen tulips with these kinds of petals until I visited the Keukenhof, so naturally I had to take a photo.
Bright pink flowers at Keukenhof.
You’ll find flowers in every color. Here’s some bright orange flowers.
Of course, there are yellow flowers too. These were some flowers that were planted outside.
A close up on some complex pink flowers.
Some purple, yellow, and white flowers all hanging out together and looking beautiful.
There was a not that hadn’t started blooming yet, but here’s some red and white flowers that were just starting.
Another floral display that I passed as I was exiting the gardens. I was sad my visit to Keukenhof was over, but I have so many photos to remember my visit.
